The Hauptman-Woodward Institute is located in downtown Buffalo's Medical Research Corridor on Ellicott Street. Visitors may park at no cost in our lot at the rear of the building. The parking lot is accessed from Washington Street in the block between Virginia and Carlton Streets.

From Route 33 West (Kensington Expressway)
Exit at Goodell Street. Proceed to Ellicott or Washington Street and make a right turn.

From I-190 North/I-190 South
Exit at Elm Street and proceed to Goodell Street. (Elm ends at Goodell. You must turn left.) Make a right turn on Ellicott or Washington.

From the Skyway
Take the first exit to I-190 South and exit immediately at Elm Street. Follow above directions.

Public Transportation
Metro Rail and Metro Bus Service provided by the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority can be accessed from the campus. For Metro Rail service, use the Allen/Hospital Station at Main and Allen streets. Use Metro Bus routes along Main Street. For information on schedules and fares, contact the NFTA at (716) 855-7211.
