We shall review recent X-Ray reflectivity and off-specular X-Ray scattering studies of liquid polymer films deposited on solid substrates. These include new results on the effects of finite thickness on capillary wave fluctuations, dewetting and island formation and their effect on capillary waves, and the static and relaxation effects associated with conformal height fluctuations of the free surface and the substrate.
